SIGN LANGUAGE

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE

American sign language is a natural language that serves as a communication method for the deaf and mute communities. Used most commonly across special needs centers worldwide it is an easy and effective method to communicate with people of determination.

Signing triggers the part of the brain that processes linguistic information through the eyes. Sign language does not only consist of movement of the hands, but also facial expressions and body movements in order to convey messages effectively. While ASL is predominantly used in the United States, it is accepted in many high schools, colleges and universities around the world.

British Sign Language:

British sign language is the second most used sign language, predominantly in the United Kingdom among the deaf community in the UK.

Both types of English sign language are the same level of difficulty and usage is widely dependent on your area of residence Learning BSL does not mean you will understand ASL however as although they both communicate English; they are very different.
